Several stars broughtIsrael–Hamasceasefire advocacy to the2024 Emmyson Sunday.

Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), Devery Jacobs (Reservation Dogs), Brittani Nichols (Abbott Elementarywriter) and Caroline Joyner were among those seen on the red carpet wearing a pin that featured a red background, orange hand and black heart. The pin symbolizes support for a permanent ceasefire, release of all hostages and immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza amid the Israel-Hamas war, according toArtists4Ceasefire.

Coughlan has previously beenopen about her support for Palestine,writing on social mediain May, “You might have seen me wear a red pin on the red carpet and press events during the last while and I thought it would be a good time to share some information about Artists for Ceasefire and what we stand for.”

Since the beginning of the deadly Israel-Hamas war on Oct. 7, 2023, when terrorist group Hamas attacked Israel, hundreds ofHollywood notables have called for a ceasefire, even signing a letter written to President Joe Biden by Artists4Ceasefire.

On Sunday, the arrivals of someEmmysattendees were alsodelayed due to a group of pro-Palestinian protesterschanting and waving flags outside the Los Angeles venue. “No justifying the murder of children,” one sign held by a demonstrator read. Similar protests caused the Oscars telecast to start a few minutes late earlier this year.

The2024 Emmy Awards, co-hosted by Eugene and Dan Levy, were held Sunday night at the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles.
